TiviMate EPG Setup: Electronic Program Guide Guide
Why EPG Matters
Without EPG, TiviMate shows only channel names. With EPG, you see the current program, upcoming schedule, and can set recordings or reminders. Setting up EPG correctly is the difference between IPTV feeling like cable TV and feeling like a radio.
Step 1: Get Your EPG URL
Your IPTV provider should have given you an EPG URL (usually ending in .xml or .xml.gz) along with your M3U URL. If not, ask your provider specifically for the "XMLTV EPG URL."
Step 2: Add EPG Source in TiviMate
- Open TiviMate → Settings → Playlists → select your playlist
- Tap EPG Sources → Add EPG Source
- Enter the EPG URL from your provider
- Tap OK and wait for the EPG to download (can take several minutes)
Step 3: Auto-Update EPG
Enable automatic EPG refresh so your guide stays current. In Settings → Playlists → your playlist → EPG auto-update. Set to "Every 24 hours" or "Every 12 hours" for premium services.
Step 4: Fix Time Offset
If your EPG shows programs at incorrect times, adjust the time offset. Settings → General → EPG time offset. Add or subtract hours to match your local time zone.
Step 5: Using Xtream EPG (Automatic)
If you use Xtream Codes login, enable "Load EPG from playlist" in playlist settings. TiviMate will fetch EPG data directly from your provider's server without a separate URL.
