How to Add an M3U Playlist to TiviMate
What Is an M3U Playlist?
An M3U playlist is a text file containing URLs for all your IPTV channels. Your provider gives you either an M3U URL (a web link) or an M3U file to download. TiviMate can load both.
Method 1: Add via URL (Recommended)
- Open TiviMate and go to Settings (gear icon)
- Select Playlists → Add Playlist
- Choose "M3U Playlist"
- Enter a name for the playlist (e.g., your provider name)
- Paste your M3U URL in the URL field
- Tap "Add" and wait for channels to load
Method 2: Add via Local File
- Download the M3U file to your device (put it in the Downloads folder)
- In TiviMate → Settings → Playlists → Add Playlist → M3U Playlist
- Tap the folder icon instead of entering a URL
- Navigate to your Downloads folder and select the M3U file
Method 3: Xtream Codes Login
If your provider uses Xtream Codes (server URL + username + password), select "Xtream Codes" instead of M3U Playlist. This is often more stable for large channel lists.
Troubleshooting
- If the URL gives a 404 error, check for typos or request a new link from your provider
- If channels load but show no EPG, add the EPG URL separately in Settings → Playlist → EPG Sources
- Update the playlist periodically: long-press the playlist name → Update
