TiviMate 4K: Features, Setup and Tips
Does TiviMate Support 4K?
Yes. TiviMate fully supports 4K (UHD) streaming, including HDR and Dolby Vision content, when your device and provider support it. The key requirement is using hardware decoding and a 4K-capable streaming device.
Devices That Support 4K in TiviMate
- Firestick 4K and Firestick 4K Max
- Nvidia Shield TV (all models)
- Android TV boxes with 4K hardware decoders
- MINIX, MECOOL, and other Amlogic S905X3/S922X-based boxes
Enabling Hardware Decoding for 4K
Settings → Player → Video decoder → Hardware. 4K HEVC streams require hardware decoding — software decoding is too slow to handle 4K at full frame rate on most devices.
Finding 4K Channels
4K channels are usually in a separate group in your playlist (often labelled "4K," "UHD," or "Ultra"). Use TiviMate's search function and type "4K" to find them quickly.
Internet Speed for 4K IPTV
4K IPTV streams require 25–35 Mbps. Test your actual speed on your streaming device (not your laptop). If you are on Wi-Fi, a wired connection is strongly recommended for 4K streaming.
HDR and Dolby Vision
If your TV supports HDR10 or Dolby Vision, TiviMate will pass through the HDR signal when the stream includes it. Ensure HDR is enabled in your Firestick's Display settings for it to work.
