Hi everyone, total noob here. I've finally decided to cut the cord after my cable bill hit $180/month. I keep hearing about IPTV but honestly I don't know where to start. Do I need a special box? Which app should I use? Is it legal? I just want to watch live sports and some basic cable channels without buffering.

I see a lot of people pushing Tivimate as the holy grail of IPTV players. I've been using Smarters Player Lite for a year and it seems... fine? What am I actually missing out on by not buying Tivimate Premium? Is the UI that much better?

I have gigabit fiber internet. I'm hardwired straight into my Nvidia Shield. My provider works flawlessly 99% of the time for regular TV. But without fail, every time there's a major UFC fight or boxing match, it becomes an unwatchable buffering mess. Why does this happen and how do I fix it?

I'm in the US (using Xfinity) and just signed up for my first IPTV sub. The provider highly recommended using a VPN, but when I turn my VPN on, my speeds drop by like 40%. Is it really necessary if I'm just watching sports and movies?
